MAX ON CONTROL: 8/18/2011
Overheard exchange between Max and Sebash this morning as they ogled Lego sets online: Sebash: "Max, buy me that one...?" Max: "Now Sebash, I don't take my orders from you. I take them from Mommy and she said we're not buying any Legos today." It's news to me that Max takes his orders from me...but it made my morning!
MAX ON CAMP: 7/30/2011
Beautiful drive through the rolling corn fields of rural IL to pick Max up from Camp Benson. Just me, my swagger wagon, my tunes, and the Land of Lincoln. Max sings Jesus Songs all the way back to Chicago! He said they sat under a small case "t" for singalong!
MAX ON INSURANCE: 1/15/2011
Max informed Paige this morning that State Farm has 40 million drivers, "more than Geico and Progressive combined." When I told him we had State Farm, he said "but Progressive does have the 'name your own price tool.'" I'm oddly proud that he is able to compare and contrast insurance commercials.
MAX'S IMAGINERY FARM OF THE FUTURE: 10/12/2010
In August we all visited George Kahumoku's Farm in Maui. Max created some works of art to remind him of his experience and memories of the Farm. Max's Farm is no ordinary Farm you would see in Maui or anywhere else in the World. Sebastian started one of the paintings and Max finshed it! Good Work!
Max's Rules for Dinner: 10/10/10
Don't use your hands. Don't use your shirt. Don't eat like a cave man. Sit up in your chair. Don't put your feet on the table. No throwing food. Thank the cook. Offer to help. (The last two were forced additions from mama.
Zach Update: These were developed last night during a 'talk' we had to have after Max broke every single one of these rules. Now at least I know he knows them...whether he chooses to follow them is another story.

HAPPY 6th BIRTHDAY MAX!
Max celebrates a week early at Chicago's only ROBOT STORE! Cake and juice was served by Real Robots! Kids were totally wide-eyed as they could not believe this was happening. Each friend got to build their own Robot. Sebastian spent most of the day playing with a remote controlled conveyor belt!
On Dec 19th (Max's Real Birthday) he did a major melt-down insisting that he should also get a Birthday Party on the 19th. Sometimes(Most of the time) parents cannot win!

ON ARRIVAL OF CALVIN
July 22, 2009 welcomed a healthy Calvin into our world. We were not sure if Paige would have a boy or a girl. Even though there are already 9 male grandkids in the Freeman Tree we were picking more girls names than boys. Now we have more than a Baseball Team! Max was overjoyed! He spent most of the day in Mom and Dad's hospital room and after said, "
I love Calvin more than anything else in the whole wide world!"

Max told lady in the Gelato store that she was very nice and pretty- After we finished our Gelato she brought over a plate of 6 cookies and said that is for being nice. I told Max, "See Max it pays to be nice". Max replied, "But I don't have any money."
